How to boot for PROGRAMS (Windows98)

First of all boot from windows 98 bootable CD.

• First of all go to BIOS.( Turn on computer than Immediately press delete or f10 etc), Change the first Boot -CD ROM in the advanced  BIOS Features also virus warning -disable.
• Insert your win98 bootable CD disk on CD ROM drive.
• Press F10 or Go to save and exit, Press ‘Y’(for save to BIOS).

When the booting process in hardware than we can see below options :

• Boot from Hard disk .
• Boot from CD ROM on screen.
• Choose NO 2 Press or 
• Enter your choice: 2 Enter

Again , display below options:

• Start windows 98 setup from CD- ROM
• Start computer from with CD ROM support.
• Start computer from without CD ROM support.

Then ,Choose no.2 press (enter)

Booting processing complete or system files loading in RAM. Complete 

Then,we can see below option 

A:\> (prompt )  dir Enter     (19 system file)

A:\> fdisk Enter ( type fdisk for hardisk partition)  than press – ‘Y’(enter), If , press –‘N’ (enter) (maximum –2GB partition ) other wise 2 GB      over make partition to hardisk.

                

FDISK  Options:

• Create DOS partition or logical DOSdrive.(for Hard disk create New partition)
• Set Active partition.(For program set)
• Delete partition or logical dos drive.(for delete partition C: D: E: drive etc.)
• Display partition information(To look partition drive create)

Note :- Already  the copy important Backup file or data next drive or pen drive before the hardisk partition .

Choose No.4 (Enter) (See partition)

• Press ESC.
• Choose No.3 (Enter)
• Choose No.3 (Delete logical DOS drive)
• Choose drive (D: or E:) type (warning data in deleted………), What drive to you want to delete………(E), Press (Enter) then, type volume level………..,, If, It is volume level than type – otherwise – Press (Blank) Enter
• Type ‘y’ Enter
• Press ESC Two times.
• Choose no. 3 (Enter)
• Choose no.2  (Enter) (do you want to continuous……?)
• Press ‘Y’ 
• Press ESC
• Choose No. 3
• Choose no.1 (what primary partition do you want  to delete?)
• Press Enter, volume label  - type, otherwise – press Enter., Press ‘Y’ Enter.
• Press ESC.,, Choose no.4 (Its show blank disk) ,, Press ESC.

Hard disk  Create or New partition process;

• Choose no.1 than ,Press (enter)
• Again no.1 Press (Enter ),, (varyfing –100% complete) ,, (Give message – Do you wish to use maximum available size for a Primary  DOS  partition   and make the partition active ….(y/n)?
• Type ‘N’ Enter (For create different drive partition of hardisk) ,, otherwise – type ‘y’ (enter) create primary DOS partition (C:\>)  create one drive.
• Create a primary DOS Partition …..? ,, (19124) M byte. Or others….. ,, (Type percent value or Mbytes value)
• Press (enter)
• Press ESC
• Press ‘1’
• Choose no.2(create extended dos partition )
• Press (enter) (all available due disk)
• Press ESC  (verifying 100% complete) ,, than we see disk space in Mbytes. ,, (when , we see  disk space that’s –100% disk space)
• type value in percent or Mbyte
• Press (enter)
• Press (enter)
• Press ESC
• Choose no.4 (for display partition)
• Press ESC
• Choose no.2 press (enter )
• Type – no……  1 or ..2 (1 is primary drive, 2 is extended or logical drive)
• press (enter )
• Press ESC (two times)

For Re-Booting process.

• Than , Booting process complete than check Hard disk drive.
• A:\> C: Enter d: Enter E: Enter f: Enter g: Enter
• Last drive is CD ROM drive.
• G:\>Dir (enter)
• G:\>CD(space) win98 (enter)
• G:\win98>format (space) c:\s\v\q (enter) –again –press ‘y’(enter) ,, (100% complete) ,, than , setup (enter)
• Press (enter)
